Blog Update: Austin

So unless you've been living your life by some strange, mysterious calendar, you've probably noticed that I've posted just one blog last week.

What do you mean the Mayan Calendar isn't the one source of truth and knowledge?
First, I want to extend to you my sincere apologies. Second, I've reworked my schedule to include blog posting as a dedicated event! I hope you're as stoked as I am! And just so you're fully informed, posting will be a day behind. So look for today's stats and info tomorrow!

Me To Be Elite

:) So if at first you don't succeed. Try and Try again.

I have been seeking to find the perfect method to motivate my clients, and to spread fitness and nutrition advice to as many people as possible. I am going to try something new in hopes of mastering this method.

I will be posting videos to this Blog from my youtube channel MeToBeElite. The concept of my channel is that it will be fitness motivation, advice, accountability, Q and A, and a place for my clients to go when they need a boost. I will be encouraging elite fitness and clean nutrition for people who are just getting started with this lifestyle. It takes a LOT of commitment and self discipline, and we can all use a little push.
I'm excited to see how this can be used to help people.

Progress Day: Huh?

So I may have fallen off of track for a while. The weekend and this morning, sorry I haven't been keeping you posted!
It's time for me to get on track!
Goals for this week:
Lose approx 3 lbs (weigh 107)
Focus on fruits and veggies with less processed foods
Low sugar diet
Stick to the workout schedule.

Stick to your goals people. Win.

Progress Day 2: Holly

Greetings Blog Hoppers

Here's my progress report for Day 2 of our workout and nutrition regime. I'll go ahead and be real with you right here, right now. I didn't do so hot. Not so great at all. I ate way over my calorie limit and let myself become frustrated and discouraged over it. Fortunately I have the BEST accountability partner EVER to help me stay on track and motivated. :) Thank you Austin! Sometimes even a personal trainer can get down in the dumps! We're all human and we all need to keep pushing forward!
Austin and I went to the gym in the morning and worked our Chest and Abs. I'm super super sore today! I also did 20 minutes of HIIT and a mile walk in the evening (forced on me by the amazing Austin once I told him about my over eating). He's the best!

Breakfast was great... I was STARVING after the workout...
Dried fruit in multigrain oatmeal
Blueberry Nonfat Greek Yogurt
1 Slice of Nutty Grain Bread
and Natural Low Sodium Peanut Butter
For a total of 555 calories. At this point I was already starting my day DOOMED! I needed to SPREAD OUT my meals!

Lunch
Non Fat Raspberry Greek Yogurt
with Apple Blueberry Granola
and Dried Banana chips
For a total of 840 calories. Banana chips and granola are insanely high in calorie... and I had a lot!

Snacks
For snacks throughout the afternoon I had
Vegan Granola Bar- 140
Vita-Top Muffin -100
For a total of 240 calories

Dinner
I made Austin and I whole wheat spaghetti with calorie free pasta sauce
with pieces of whole grain bread to dip in olive oil and spices
and topped our spaghetti with mixed cheeses.
I would estimate my meal was around 500 calories.

That puts my total day calorie count at: 2,135
Thats disgusting.
And I'm never doing that again...
SO MANY CARBS! Ugh!

I will show you what good well rounded nutrition looks like.
But do not consult this day for advice. because I had a downright rotten nutritional day.
I apologize. Here's to a better day, and picking myself up and doing better from this point forward! No more getting down in a slump!

Progress Day 1: Austin

So day one is over and I'm well into day two. Overall day one was a big success. I started the day early with a great back workout with my beautiful fiancée Holly. By the way, we are following the same workout schedule. Afterwards Holly made me a wonderful breakfast.

Four scrambled eggs with pinch of shredded Mexican Blend cheese.
One package of multi-grain oatmeal with dried cherries.
A macadamia nut k-cup coffee

Awesome! Thanks Hon!

I work full-time at a desk job so unfortunately my weekdays are very inactive. For a snack I had a vegan granola bar from Target and lunch was two cups of spaghetti with turkey meat sauce. I wanted plenty of energy for my cardio that evening!

After work I did 30 minutes of cardio and then ran one of my dogs.

My mother made me an excellent dinner. I'll have to take a picture next time! It was delicious. It was salmon made into a patty with an egg cooked in the center on a piece of toast with some sliced tomato. It had the most colorful flavors I've had in a meal in a long time! Yum!

Overall this was a great day but next time I'll be sure to do a more intense cardio workout!
